Moltex believes its patented technology holds the keys to making nuclear energy safe, cost-effective and viable; to take away our need for fossil fuels.
Their Stable Salt Reactor (SSR) is fundamentally the first new nuclear technology in half a century, allowing nuclear energy plants to be built for half the cost of a coal-fired equivalent, preventing potential meltdowns and converting today’s stockpile of existing spent-nuclear fuel into fuel for future nuclear energy.
The technology is safe, cost-effective and solves the key problems that up until this point, have prevented nuclear energy from realising its true potential.
Notably, aside from significant grant funding, the company has just received a £2.5m investment from Nuclear Energy Consultancy firm, IDOM, at the same valuation as this current round.
