Cityzenith – a company already supported by Shadow Foundr investors – are celebrating more success this week after a commitment investment of $500k from Dreamit Urban Tech, a start-up accelerator founded in partnership with Strategic Property Partners – a joint venture by Jeff Vinik and Bill Gates.
Cityzenith were up against hundreds of candidates for this amazing investment opportunity, and were selected by SPP, who are leading a $3bn redevelopment of the Tampa Bay waterfront in Florida. This is one of the largest real estate projects in the US, and a rare opportunity to build a smart, connected city in an existing urban zone.
Dreamit UrbanTech will utilise Tampa as a sandbox for innovation for the startups like Cityzenith accepted into the program. Dreamit’s goal is to help startups gain enterprise-level customers and integrate their tech into large-scale projects, and the urban tech program is an opportunity for founders to scale with customers like construction firms, developers, real estate management companies, master planners, architects, CRE service firms and other key players affecting the built environment in cities. As part of the project, the company will have the opportunity to customise and deploy Cityzenith’s Smart World technology to suit the specific needs of the Tampa Bay Waterfront Project.

Cityzenith will enter a 14-week virtual and in-person hybrid program designed specifically to scale the company’s business with enterprise customers. CEO Michael Jansen, CTO James Fee, and Lead Data Scientist Mike Weinberger will receive unprecedented access to Dreamit’s customer and investor network.
“We are honoured to have been selected for one of the most exciting and sophisticated Smart City projects in the world. This is the future, and this project will be setting an example not only for Smart Cities in America, but for Smart Cities around the world.” – Michael Jansen, CEO
