Rachel Stone Content Writer

Rachel is a content writer for Shadow Foundr, who spends the majority of her time working on articles for the website. Coming from an English Literature background, she graduated in 2017 with a 2:1 from the University of Sussex. Keen to start her career, she got accepted onto a graduate scheme through Sussex Innovation Centre, which allowed her to work for various Brighton-based businesses doing a range of roles. It was through this scheme that she was hired to work for Shadow Foundr as a content writer. Her other roles are also primarily linked to writing and PR, and she has worked previously as a PR executive for a Brighton-based coffee shop, as well as for a luxury nightwear brand.

With a background writing about literature, it was quite a shift to go from writing about Shakespeare to writing about Equity Crowdfunding – but one that she welcomed. In the few months she has worked for Shadow Foundr, Rachel has hugely expanded her knowledge of the Alternative Finance sector. She enjoys working on research articles and opinion pieces, and anything where she gets to interact with other people.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys – you guessed it – creative writing, as well as going to the beach and socialising. If she’s not writing, you can usually find her in a pub in Brighton’s Lanes, or watching trash TV with a bowl of macaroni cheese.
